Editing Services for Academic Writers and Other Non-Fiction Authors

Are you ready to take your non-fiction writing to the next level—whether it’s a book, article, grant proposal, or professional application? My editing services help make your work clearer, stronger, and more compelling.

I work with non-fiction authors, academics, and other creative professionals on a range of projects:

  • Books, book proposals, and chapters
  • Journal articles or essays
  • Grant proposals and funding applications
  • Academic job market materials and professional applications

What I do:

  • Identify areas for improvement and give concrete revision suggestions
  • Clarify your argument, narrative, or key message
  • Align evidence, examples, or research with your main claims
  • Enhance style, structure, and overall readability
  • Highlight strengths and contributions in professional documents

Developmental editing vs. copyediting:
Developmental editing focuses on big-picture clarity, argument, and structure rather than grammar and punctuation. I help you refine your ideas, organize your material, and make sure your work resonates with your audience.

Next steps:
If you’re curious about whether my editing support is right for your project, reach out via my contact page with a brief description. I’ll respond with an estimate of cost, timeline, and next steps.
